On the occasion of the Chinese New Year, Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam H.E. Chen Shaochun visited several Chinese enterprises in Brunei, including Hengyi Industries, Muara Port Company, China Harbour Engineering, HLDS (B) Steel, Sinotrans, and China ComService, to extend festive greetings and conduct workplace safety inspections. Counselor Shi Rongke of the Embassy also accompanied the visit.

During the visits, Ambassador Chen conveyed the care and solicitude of the Communist Party of China and the Chinese government for overseas enterprises and their employees. He extended Chinese New Year greetings and presented “Spring Festival care packages” to staff members who remained on duty during the holiday period. He also toured factory workshops, construction sites, and fire stations, carefully listened to briefings on business operations and production, and gained a detailed understanding of holiday arrangements and employee welfare.

Ambassador Chen expressed his full recognition and congratulations to the enterprises for their achievements over the past year, and thanked them for their significant contributions to strengthening China–Brunei economic and trade relations, promoting high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and advancing the building of a China–Brunei community with a shared future. He expressed the hope that all enterprises would continue to prioritize workplace safety, enhance emergency response capabilities, ensure lawful and compliant operations, care for the well-being of employees, and foster a warm and harmonious atmosphere during the Spring Festival.

Heads and staff representatives of the enterprises expressed appreciation for the embassy’s visits and reaffirmed their commitments to their duty and to contributing to the sustained and healthy development of bilateral relations.
