On the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the independence of Brunei Darussalam, I wish to extend, on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Brunei, warm congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and the people of Brunei.

Under the visionary leadership of His Majesty, Brunei adheres to a development path suited to its national conditions, steadily advances economic diversification, achieves progress in various fields, and plays a significant role in regional and international affairs.

Over the past year, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and His Majesty, China and Brunei have enhanced political mutual trust, actively synergized development strategies, maintained close coordination in regional and international affairs, and taken solid steps to achieve fruitful outcomes in advancing a China-Brunei community with a shared future.

This year marks the 35 anniversary of China-Brunei diplomatic relations. We stand ready to work with Brunei to steadfastly follow the important consensus reached by the two Heads of State, strengthen high-level strategic mutual trust, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in all aspects, so as to advance the building of a China-Brunei community with a shared future to achieve more solid progress, jointly open up brighter prospects for our bilateral relations, and contribute new driving force to the building of a community with a shared future with neighboring countries and a community with a shared future for humanity.
