On May 19, H.E. Chen Shaochun, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam, attended the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Chinese Enterprises Association in Brunei(CEAB). Dr. Li Feng, President of CEAB, who is also the general manager of BANK OF CHINA(Hong Kong) Brunei Branch, together with more than 20 representatives of Association members were also present. The conference reviewed the work of the Fifth Council of CEAB and elected the Sixth Council, with Li Feng re-elected as President.

In his address, Ambassador Chen congratulated the CEAB on the election of the new Council, fully acknowledged the achievements made by the previous Council and association members, and thanked everyone for the significant role they had been playing in advancing bilateral relations. He encouraged everyone to continually enhance political awareness, take the important consensus reached by the heads of state of both countries as strategic guide, seize opportunities, strengthen internal capabilities, operate with integrity and compliance, focus on daily production safety, and actively fulfill social responsibilities, thereby further contributing to the building of a China-Brunei community with a shared future.

President Li Feng expressed his gratitude to the Chinese Embassy in Brunei for its support and guidance regarding the work of CEAB. Speaking on behalf of the Sixth Council, he stated that the Council would redouble its efforts and work with members to take China-Brunei cooperation to new heights.
