On 9th February at the Chinese New Year’s Eve, H.E. Ambassador Xiao Jianguo attended the “Warm Spring” Activity organized by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Brunei Darussalam and distributed Spring Festival Kits to overseas Chinese in Brunei. Over 130 attendees representing Chinese communities, Chinese schools, voluntary teachers, international students as well as Chinese enterprises were present.
Ambassador Xiao sent best wishes and warm regards of Spring Festival to all overseas Chinese in Brunei, emphasized that Spring Festival is the most important festival to all Chinese and has been listed as the official holiday of Brunei and UN, vividly reflecting the concept of exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations enshrined in the Global Civilization Initiative. Ambassador Xiao further expected the overseas Chinese to play a more important role in the friendship and cooperation between China and Brunei and the great cause of national reunification of China.
Together with guests present, Ambassador Xiao performed calligraphy as well as Lo Sahng to wish all a happy Spring Festival and distributed Spring Festival Kits to the Overseas Chinese.
