On 10th March, H.E.Ambassador Xiao Jianguo attended the Awarding Ceremony of National Live Spring Festival Calligraphy Competition of Brunei. Mr.Sug Teck Ann, President of the Society of Chinese Writers, Calligraphers and Artist of Brunei, Dr.Andy Lau Sie Chuong, President of Fuzhou Shiyyi Association of Brunei, Mr. Li Feng, President of Chinese Enterprises Association in Brunei as well as calligraphy competitors attended.
Ambassador Xiao reiterated that performing calligraphy is a tradition in Spring Festival of China as well as in Brunei, spoke highly of the contributions of the Associations in promoting the calligraphy and Chinese culture in Brunei, and expressed readiness to deepen cooperation with the Associations to promote the cultural cooperation as well as people-to-people exchanges between China and Brunei.
Ambassador Xiao also presented awards to some top winners, appreciated the works of the competitors and had friendly exchanges with the attendees.
