On 8th April, H. E. Ambassador Xiao Jianguo to Brunei Darussalam hosted a briefing & iftar during Ramadhan for local media and think tanks on various topics, including prospects and opportunities of Chinese economy, progress of China-Brunei relations, China’s foreign policy, theTaiwan issue, China’s religious policy and development achievements of Xinjiang and so on.
Ambassador Xiao expressed willingness to deepen communication with local media and think tanks for smoother and further development of bilateral relations, especiallyin conjunction with 2024 China-ASEAN Year of People-to-People Exchanges.
More than 50 representatives from local media and think tanks attended the event, including Radio and Television of Brunei, Perlita Brunei, Media Permata, Borneo Bulletin, See Hua Daily, Sin Chew Daily,United Dailyand Xinhua news agency in Bandar Seri Begawan as well as the Institute of Asian Studies of University of Brunei Darussalam and students from the University of Technology Brunei, etc.
