To further enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of China and Brunei, promote exchanges and cooperation in the fields of education and to push forward the building of the community of a shared future between China and Brunei, the Government of the People’s Republic of China has decided to provide full scholarships to Bruneian students for the 2026/2027 academic year. This program aims to support outstanding Bruneian students to pursue higher education in China, offering more opportunities to learn the Chinese language, culture, and professional knowledge.

From today on, eligible applicants could visit “CSC Study in China” website and click “Chinese Government Scholarship Information System (CGSIS)” to enter the application system. For more information, please find the Appendix below for more detailed List of Application Documents for Chinese Government Scholarship and Application Procedures for CGSIS. The deadline of applications is on January 9th, 2026. Overdue applications will not be accepted.

Please note that all applications must be completed online. The Embassy will not accept any paper applications. Please send the online application Serial Number to the Embassy by email at chinaembassyedu@gmail.com. Receiving a reply email from the Embassy means the application succeeds. Applicants need to contact the interested universities by their own to get the Pre-admission Notice or Invitation Letter from the schools or professors before January 9th, 2026.

In around June of 2026, China Scholarship Council will send Admission Letters to the Chinese Embassy. Scholarship winners will be notified to collect the Admission Letters and visa application forms at the Embassy.
