Chinese Ambassador Yang Jian Paid a Visit to Chinese Volunteers in Universiti Brunei Darussalam

On September 16th, H.E. Madame Yang Jian, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam paid a visit to Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), and met with 10 Chinese volunteers working there, as well as representatives from UBD faculty and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

For the purpose of promoting youth exchanges and human resources cooperation between China and Brunei, the Chinese and Bruneian governments initiated the Chinese Volunteer Program in 2012. The first 23 volunteers successfully finished their service at the end of 2013. The second batch of 10 volunteers arrived in August, 2015, all assisting in teaching and researching in UBD.
